We first met at a campfire night at Jess’ best friend, Gil’s house. A mutual friend invited Chris, and we all ended up forming a friend group and hanging out often together.
A month later, when everyone bailed on our plans to go karaoke singing, it was just the two of us. We grabbed Chinese food for dinner beforehand, where we both nervously admitted our feelings for one another.
Later that night, at the karaoke bar, Chris sang Jess a song (Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Michael Bublé), and the rest, as they say, is history.
Almost six years later, we live together in Ossining, NY with our two cats, still dancing and singing together (but mostly just relaxing on the couch).
